The Board of Trustees of the University of Bayreuth has a new member: Bayreuth's former Lord Mayor Dr. Michael Hohl joined the board (Monday, 15 May 2023). A new member of the Board of Trustees is Dr. Michael Hohl, former Lord Mayor of the City of Bayreuth. Dr Hohl is also Chairman of the University Foundation. The members of the Board of Trustees are appointed by the university management for a period of five years, and their work on the Board of Trustees is honorary. The Board of Trustees of the University of Bayreuth was established in 2013 and has been chaired by Heribert Trunk since the beginning.
