China-Europe Smart Agriculture Innovation Fund Successfully Signed in Munich

On May 19, the “China (Guangdong) – Germany Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference” was successfully held in Munich, Germany. Approximately 100 representatives from government departments, industry associations, enterprises and other relevant institutions from China and Germany attended the event. During the conference, the China-Europe Smart Agriculture Innovation Fund, with an initial investment of USD 10 million, was successfully signed by CEST. The conference aimed to further promote industrial innovation and economic and trade exchanges between China’s Guangdong Province and the State of Bavaria, while deepening two-way cooperation in industrial investment, technological innovation and related sectors. Inspector at Level 2 of the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province Huang Xin, Commercial Counsellor at the Chinese Consulate General in Munich Guo Fang, Head of Department International Economic Relations, Location Policy, Invest in Bavaria under the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs Gudrun Weidmann, Director of Guangdong Economic & Trade Office in Europe (Munich) Luo Wenqi, and Board Member of CEST Marco Böttger attended the event.


At the event’s promotion session, Marco Böttger delivered a presentation on the history and innovation strengths of the City of Bayreuth, as well as CEST which is headquartered in Bayreuth. He emphasized that CEST remains committed to fostering exchanges and cooperation in scientific and technological innovation between China and Europe. He also expressed his hope that more Chinese innovative enterprises would collaborate with German institutions to create new opportunities and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
